March 5, 2026 – “I want to live again!”
As a wise woman in my family just reminded me . . . we are surviving some things in life at the same time as thriving others. Here are some examples of where I am thriving while enduring one of the hardest periods of my life:
- watching a child of mine fight to live
- feeling my soul soar whenever I recall this
- hearing multiple medical staff literally say “You are a miracle”
- seeing muscle in the arms of this child where the skin used to hang on those same arms
- working out myself developing caregiving muscles
- feeling & seeing the amazement of the human body
- seeing the beautiful smile on the face of this very child
- experiencing the outpouring of support from family & friends that continues to this day
- having my own “George Bailey” experience after another child posts our story
- being allowed to live in a beautiful apartment for 2 months rent free
- seeing my family cry, laugh and rise to the occassion time and time again
- praying and giving thanks for all our blessings
Go watch a movie favorite “It’s a Wonderful Life”
Learn why George says “I want to live again!”
I have a child (actually children) who continue to express how they want to live again.
Those thoughts brought me to tears š
You got it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So beautifully said!
Surviving and Thrivingā¦I like that we can, and you are, holding both of what seem to be opposites at the same time. āBoth/andāis a good place to be. You go, sis!
